In light of spending more time at home, I thought it apropos to dedicate a post regarding a few of the items that make our home more comfortable. Here is my current list:
Ninja Coffee Bar – We use this every morning and have had it for years. You can make several different brew sizes and I like the fact that it also does hot/cold coffee and while I do not use it often, a milk frother.
Italian Espresso Maker – My parents have the one linked below by DeLonghi. It is the perfect size for two and makes delicious espresso.
Candles – I love lighting a few candles in our home regardless of time of year or time of day. A few of my current favorites are linked below, including Jo Malone (Blackberry & Bay) and Hearth & Hand (Cardamom & Vetiver) – both really lovely and warm fragrances without being overpowering.
Metal Watering Can – My parents gave me a very old one similar to the one linked below. I use it for watering our plants, flowers, and filling up the chicken waterer. The metal adds a vintage feel which I prefer over the plastic ones.
Hand Soap & Surface Spray – I tend to purchase the Mrs. Meyer’s brand on both of these. I especially like the peony fragrance but also have used the lavender fragrance. Re: hand soap, I also like A La Maison liquid hand soap in cherry blossom – it smells amazing.
Favorite Kitchen/Cooking Pans – I should (and will) dedicate a post to my favorite cooking items. That said, I am always reaching for my cast iron pan and stainless steel sauté pan. The cast iron pan is perfect for cooking fish/meat/vegetables in the oven. At least once I week, I will broil a nice piece of salmon in my cast iron pan. The latter, must have for any pasta sauce, like a bolognese, or a paella.
Silpat Silicone Baking Mat – A must have for baking. I use these on top of a traditional cookie sheet – cooks cookies perfectly and makes for easy removal from the baking sheet.
Maldon Sea Salt – My mom introduced me to this seasoning and it is hard to return to traditional salt after using these flaky salt crystals with the perfect flavor. A must have in any cook’s kitchen.
Oil Cloth Canvas Tablecloth – This is a must have for anyone who uses their kitchen table from everything to eating to art projects. Easy to clean and still looks nice.
Equine decor – I plan to dedicate a post to my favorite equine decor. I have this exact picture frame in my home office. Good luck + a nod to my equestrian background.
Le Labo Rose Detergent – Since the price point is high, I reserve this for sheets and sometimes towels.
Slip pillowcase – This pillowcase is so lovely and perfect for keeping hair soft and tangle free. I purchased the charcoal color.
Outdoor furniture – We have a very similar set to what is linked below and use every day when we sit outside and relax.
Terracotta pots – These are perfect for growing herbs or planting flowers.
Thanks for stopping by, X.
