A lawyer by trade but a longtime lover of fashion, I started this blog as a creative outlet and hobby to track my favorite styles and inspire other fashionistas. I have quickly learned that the retail industry is rapidly changing with the use of social media, style influencers, as well as the ability to monetize fashion blogging. Styles are constantly fluctuating, trends coming and going, and fads popping up. I continually assess my own personal style and inspiration. My style, I hope reflects all things feminine, classic, and timeless, with a nod to my equestrian and outdoorsy upbringing and background. I have always loved red nails, dresses, and clothes that one can wear season after season. As I recalled sources of inspiration, I recently asked my beautiful mom to send to me this great photo of her and my dad posing in downtown Cleveland, circa ~1979, in matching trench coats (below). Despite the fact that much time has passed, by today’s standard, they remain looking classy and “en vogue.” Lo’ and behold, several days later and so apropos, the Wall Street Journal came out with an article discussing the timeless nature of the trench coat. (Read the WSJ article HERE.). The article appropriately notes that “[e]asily dressed up or down, the trench has unswervingly stayed in fashion”. The article goes on to provide in great detail recommendations on how one should go about purchasing a trench, discussing everything from color, shoulder straps, belted, as well as providing the six best designs to buy right now. I have included some of my own picks for this season below. I look forward to continuing to share my fashion evolution through my photographs which depict my evolving (but hopefully timeless + classic) personal style.
Sincerely,
Gabriella
